Awards

Recognition of our ILR alumni and friends

ILR currently celebrates our distinguished alumni and friends with the following awards:

Jerome Alpern Distinguished Alumni Award
Honorable William B. Groat Alumni Award

These awards, The Groat Award and The Alpern Award, named for notable personages in the School’s history, are presented in recognition of professional accomplishments and service to the School.  They are presented at an annual spring celebration dinner event which is designed to showcase and honor the award recipients in the context of a gala celebration of the School.  The event has become a tradition.

It represents a celebration of  the accomplishments of  all of our distinguished alumni and friends -- all of you -- the entire ILR network.

2008 Awards

Mark E. Brossman '75 and Robert A. Molofsky '72 are the winners of the 2008 Groat Award, and Ruben Jose King-Shaw '83 will be awarded the 2008 Alpern Award.

2007 Awards

Jay W. Waks '68 was the winner of the 2007 Groat Award and Paul Cole was awarded the 2007 Alpern Award.

Student Recognition

Recognition of  our  talented students is also a priority for ILR Alumni Affairs and Development.  Scholarship support upholds Ezra Cornell's vision, allowing
"Any Person, Any Study."

This would not be possible without the assistance of many of you.  We proudly present the most recent honor roll of student recipients of  ILR scholarships, prizes, and awards. Thank you -- our devoted alumni and friends -- for helping to assure Cornell's proud legacy.
