Internships

ILR internships are renowned for providing students with a vivid understanding of current challenges in the workplace and global economy. Students often use summer, winter, and semester-long credit-internships to explore different career paths and apply skills learned in the classroom, all while gaining valuable work experience. Study Abroad

Students in ILR who plan to study in another country usually do so in their junior year, or occasionally in their senior year. They may study in one of the programs that is sponsored by Cornell, or in one sponsored by another institution and endorsed by Cornell. Honors Program

Seniors in the top 20% of the class who want to conduct their own research can receive course credit for a two-semester honors thesis research project. Learn more about research opportunities at ILR.

Pre-Law Advising

Students interested in law school in the future may want to attend programs sponsored by the Pre-Law Advising Network and the University Career Center. The Director of Student Services is the pre-law advisor at ILR. There is an Undergraduate Law Society and a Minority Undergraduate Law Society. The Barrister is a Cornell newsletter published by and for students interested in law.

Five-Year Master of Science Degree Program (B.S. and M.S.)

With early planning, you may be able to earn an M.S. degree in the fifth year of study at the ILR school.

Eric Ziff

Eric Ziff spent a semester in Rome, Italy in a program sponsored by Arcadia University/Academia Italiana. He lived in Trastevere which is considered the people's quarter of Rome. On the weekends, he "traveled a ton - I had a great time."
