Where can an ILR degree take you?

Life after ILR

“Many high school students think in terms of only three career options: doctor, lawyer, business. They often don't realize that there are so many more choices. ILR gives you multiple options—you can do almost anything.”

— Steven Helfont, Class of 2007

ILR prepares you for a career in business, law, public policy, labor relations, political activism, and many other fields

The interdisciplinary nature of the ILR curriculum also enables students to prepare for a wide range of graduate programs. About 25% of ILR graduates will attend law school, and another 10% typically go on to graduate programs to pursue advanced degrees in public affairs, business, economics, international relations, teaching, and other areas.

Salaries

“ILR doesn't teach you just one skill. Instead, you learn many different skills—leadership, organization, writing, analysis, communication, efficiency. It makes you a more marketable person when you enter the real world."

– Jane Willett Forman, Class of 2008
