Applying to ILR
If you have decided to apply to ILR, your first step should be to review our General Guidelines, as well as the appropriate Guidelines for freshmen, transfer, or international applicants.
Successful applicants to ILR usually have a strong record of academic success in high school, as well as SAT scores (or corresponding ACT scores) between 1800 and 2400. They have demonstrated their leadership skills in extracurricular activities, and they have thought about how the study of ILR fits their academic and career interests. They have taken the time to find out about ILR by reading our literature, visiting, and communicating with current ILR students.
