Job opportunity: Research associate for the Senior Analyst covering the large-cap bank sector. Candidate will work on earnings and valuation models for large banks such as Citigroup, Bank of America and JPMorgan. Candidate will also be asked to contribute to written research reports and marketing materials on bank stocks. Applicants should have strong interest in financial markets, equity valuation, and the banking sector.

International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees - FILLED

Our members work in all forms of live theater, motion picture and television production, trade shows and exhibitions, television broadcasting, and concerts as well as the equipment and construction shops that support all these areas of the entertainment industry. Job opportunity: Over a two and a half week period, the internship will include: Learning Union/IATSE Basics: Structure, history, crafts, departments, committees, initiatives; and intro to the IATSE Communications Department: structure, general duties, specific projects we’ve completed or are looking to complete, tools we use - why we use them and how/pros and cons of each, and more. Project-Oriented Communications Work: Start updating our social media toolkit (for our locals) and the training presentations that go along with it – the toolkit needs some rewriting and new screen captures, as well as a new script for the presentations. Begin on a guide for our young worker committees that includes the “how to start a young workers committee” guide, work plan guide/template, social media toolkit, labor glossary, and a short history/structure of the IATSE guide. Administrative Communications Work: Update email address change spreadsheet for Action Network, and update email addresses in Action Network (also learn how to use Action Network). Look at our social media history for last few years and identify any trends in popularity. Update press contacts spreadsheet by researching articles written about IATSE locals and members in the last year and update spreadsheet based on this.
Minimum qualifications: Student should have a strong (and preferably demonstrated) interest in labor communications, and have experience using social media. Graphic design skills a plus. Student should be able to get to our office in Chelsea, Manhattan.

Job opportunity: This unique internship for ILR juniors and seniors is designed by ILR alumni for those students who may be interested in a career in labor and employment law and will benefit from a practical overview of the labor and employment law field. We will select three students to work in Morgan Lewis’s Labor and Employment Practice in Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., or New York City. Each applicant must specify his or her preferred location, in order of preference. The internship program includes: • Two-week paid internship ($500/week) • Introduction to attorneys who will provide overviews of practice areas, including: • Defense of individual and class action discrimination claims • Labor-management relations matters • Department of Labor regulatory issues • Wage and hour lawsuits, including nationwide collective actions • Employee benefits litigation • Immigration law • Employer training programs. Our three interns will spend their first day in Philadelphia receiving an overview of the various practice area specialties. The New York and Washington, D.C. interns will travel to Philadelphia by train accompanied by a Morgan Lewis attorney and will return home at the end of the day. The remaining portion of the internship program will involve a specific assignment dealing with timely legal issues as well as interaction with labor and employment attorneys in their offices, including “shadowing” where available.
