Maryland
Distance learning students who are residents of Maryland should be advised that Cornell is in the process of obtaining a registration with the Maryland Higher Education Commission. General provisions and procedural steps for handling grievances are described on the Graduate School website at https://gradschool.cornell.edu/grievances-and-complaints. In accordance with Education Article, ยง 11-202.2(c)5, Annotated Code of Maryland, students may file complaints to the Office of the Attorney General or the Maryland Higher Education Commission at:

Texas
The ILR School is not regulated in Texas under Chapter 132 of the Texas Education Code. Cornell University's authority to grant degrees is bestowed by the New York State Board of Regents. The Board of Regents mandates that all degree-granting academic programs must be registered with the New York State Education Department.
