With new year, contain costs but don’t drive away high performers, cautions ICS

As companies see the new year as a good time to introduce cost-containment, ICS Managing Director Linda Barrington recommends putting “HR and business leaders in a room to talk about how this plays out strategically.” For example, “drastic cutbacks could make employees (especially high performers) look elsewhere.” Barrington’s comments appear in December’s BNA Human Resources Report, a leader in information and analysis for professionals.
